    The information you provide is collected under the authority of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) to determine admissibility to Canada. This information may be shared with other government institutions, including but not limited to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), the Canadian Security Intelligence Service ( CSIS), the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (DFATDC), Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), to provincial and territorial governments and to foreign governments, in accordance in subsection 8(2) of the Privacy Act. This information may be disclosed to foreign governments, law enforcement agencies and authorities with the power to retain for the purposes of the administration and enforcement of immigration laws, provided that it does not risk endanger the plaintiff and his family. They may also be routinely validated by other government institutions to validate status and identity for the purposes of administering their programs.

    If you provide your biometrics as part of your application, the collected fingerprints will be stored and forwarded to the RCMP. This data may also be shared with other law enforcement agencies in accordance with subsection 13.11(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. The information may be used to establish or verify an individual's identity for the purpose of preventing, investigating or prosecuting an offense described in any law of Canada or a province.

    The information may also be used to establish or verify the identity of a person who cannot be established or verified.
